Thanks to its high-strength synthetic fabric and the compact vulcanised rubber coating made from special polymers, the RHINO offers exceptional durability and safety during firefighting operations. The longitudinal grooves on the outer rubber coating ensure excellent abrasion resistance – a crucial advantage when dragging the hose over sharp edges, stairs or through narrow corridors.

For which applications are Eschbach rapid intervention hoses particularly suitable?

When rapid water delivery is required, these are the classic applications for rapid intervention hoses. These include, in particular, vehicle fires, bin fires and container fires. But they are also suitable for embankment and vegetation fires, e.g. using the ‘pump and roll’ method. Eschbach rapid intervention hoses, such as the dimensionally stable Monoflex S, are reeled onto the rapid intervention unit for this purpose, or stored in bays as flat hoses, such as the Eschbach Elephant.

What properties are particularly important for rapid intervention hoses?

The rapid water delivery system requires special types of hose. The dimensionally stable Eschbach Monoflex S is a lightweight hose for the rapid intervention system. With a burst pressure of 160 bar, it is also suitable for high-pressure pumps.

The Eschbach Elephant is particularly abrasion-resistant and robust thanks to its double-layer fabric construction, making it ideally suited for being dragged over rough surfaces. Furthermore, it features a rubber coating resistant to oil, petrol and fuels. A small bend radius, excellent flow rate and a burst pressure of over 100 bar make the Eschbach Elephant an extremely reliable hose for rapid intervention.

How quickly are Eschbach rapid intervention hoses ready for use?

Eschbach rapid intervention hoses are usually ready for use immediately. Flat rapid intervention hoses are usually stowed in special compartments on the fire engine. These are already connected to the pump and coupled to a nozzle. Rigid rapid intervention hoses such as the Monoflex S are mounted on reels, also connected to the water supply and coupled to a nozzle.
