Our beginnings: A visionary step
It all began after the Second World War, when our founder, Jakob Eschbach, gained valuable experience as an employee and later as a plant manager at the Weinheim factory for fire hoses. In 1956, he decided to set up his own company: Jakob Eschbach GmbH, a factory for fire hoses and mine suits. The aim was to manufacture innovative, high-quality fire hoses and shaft suits for the mining industry.
In Essen-Kupferdreh, he laid the foundation for our company with his clear vision. It soon became apparent that our commitment to quality and functionality was the basis for success and growth. These values remain with us to this day and shape everything we do.

A new location: growth in Marsberg
As demand increased, so did the demands on our production site in Essen-Kupferdreh. As early as 1965, we took a bold step and relocated our company to Marsberg in the Sauerland region; the ideal local conditions were the deciding factor in this decision.
The move to Marsberg opened up new opportunities for us: larger production areas, modern infrastructure and strong ties to the region laid the foundations for our continued growth. From here, we were able to establish ourselves nationally and eventually globally as a leading supplier of hose solutions.
